TRD Front Tower Bar

Here is another goodie that I got from Japan Parts last week. I installed this on Saturday. and it was very simple.  As usual, all part numbers are here so you can purchase these at any location you choose.

Part number:  MS324-18001

The only tools needed were:
* 10mm wrench
* T40 torx
* 12mm socket

Start by removing the 3 nuts at the strut tower (2 are holding the stock brace and 1 is connected to the actual strut perch.

Next, install the 2 brackets as shown.  It should have just the right amount of even space in it for the end of the strut bar to slide in.

Next, go do this same thing on the other side.  Then you’re ready for the actual bar itself.

Position the bar so that the TRD logo is oriented properly when looking at it from the front of your car.  Then secure each side with the enclosed torx bolts and nuts.

Now, it’s time to go enjoy your newly found stiffness … on your car that is.  😉

 

Impressions:

It looks fantastic and definitely adds some support to the strut towers.  It will not Parallelogram when hard cornering like many other *universal* style STBs.
